Hey girl, I found those really tasteful ornery swan centerpieces you were looking for.
ummm you and i need to go have drinks or something.
i went through this last year and i felt like a weirdo for calling bs on almost everything i dealt with. and i fully fully support avoiding bridal shops for dress shopping. just buying a really nice white/off white/ivory/whatever dress really opens up your world to (in my opinion) much more fashionable choices. i ended up buying mine from shopbop.
i got married in eastern market in june (after originally planning to elope myself) and have toyed with the idea of writing a long, ranty post about the process/the industry but never felt like diving back into wedding talk, but your blog has inspired me.
maybe i’ll post something soonish.

after poking around in some wedding forums/message boards on the knot, i quickly realized that i was in the wrong place for actual, helpful “advice” and i’d ventured into the land of the insane. so i made this tumblr for the real crazy stuff i saw.
